On October 1st, Fillmore introduced a new email system with instant messaging and calendar functions. This new system was a marked improvement over our previous system, but changing anything always seems like a big deal for most people. It seems like we get lots of calls telling us of all the problems, but none telling us how great the new system is with 200 times the storage and other cool features. That’s ok though, as we don’t expect the raves to come in. So, how did we handle the most common issues with the email conversion? This is where I believe we have made a great improvement over past efforts, and this is where the raves are coming in! We introduced webinars that explained the great advantages of the new system, and we are holding them live throughout the week. The agents were satisfied and excited. Not only did we teach the email system, but we got a lot of virgin webinar users to get more comfortable with webinars.
We used dimdim.com free webinar services to get the job done, and we were able to cut the number of tech support phone calls 75% in just one day.
Now the agents are better informed and our tech team can move onto other issues.
We plan on using more FREE webinars on a regular basis, and then record them so agents that miss them, can watch them at their leisure.
