Fillmore Creates A Buzz and Lots of Action with Tax Credit SALE


Fillmore Real Estate has been helping hundreds of homeowners take advantage of the Homebuyers Tax Credit over the past year, but now we’re making a full-court press to help get the last wave of buyers in before the April 30th deadline.

There are a few key ingredients to this sale, but you can get this thing up and running rather quickly in your brokerage business and benefit from an amazing increase in activity in your office.

Here’s the concept:
1) Get the Information Out There:  Make sure that each of your agents are aware of the program and how it can help first time buyers as well as current homeowners as well.  Refer the agents to government and national websites for more information http://bit.ly/realtortaxcredit

2) CREATE A SITE.  We’ve created http://www.brooklyntaxcredit.com where you can find all the information needed in one spot.  We link the site to homes that we’re selling and other information as well.  If you can’t create a site quickly, then just provide  a few links from your own site.

3) SEMINARS:  We’re hosting seminars to get the information out there effectively.  We are inviting all of our current buyers and sellers so they can know how they can take advantage of the program and how it benefits them.

4) PRICE IMPROVEMENTS: This is a great opportunity to combine the tax savings with price breaks on your listings. We have already gotten 40% of our inventory reduced.  It’s a great reason to convince sellers to come down to more realistic prices. This effort alone will pay large dividends via increased activity.

5) OPEN HOUSE WEEKEND:  We’re combining the price improvements with a special weekend to view the properties.

6) MEDIA BLITZ:  We’re taking at least a few pages of ads in all the local papers ( I know that print ads don’t usually work, but this is more of a corporate action event that will get the buzz going about our program).   Don’t forget online ads.  We’ve changed the header on our corporate website http://www.fillmore.com that already gets a lot of traffic.
All of our online ads will refer to this special sale.
7) PUBLIC RELATIONS:  There seems to be a lot of pick-up interest from the newspapers about this story. We are creating a buzz and it’s getting everyone excited

8) JUST DO IT:  It’s great to see the agents on high-speed getting more price breaks than ever and hosting more open houses than we’ve seen in a while.  I don’t care if the seminars are not packed, but I am truly excited to see the agents all up and motivated for lots of activity in this market.  Activity will bring rewards.  I’ll write about them in May, as we will quantify this entire effort to prove it’s success.
