Duh…You Extended the Tax Credit Closing Date,Washington. Thanks, but what took you so long?

Don’t get me wrong…I’m happy that the tax credit closing date was extended..but come on Washington>> WTF!
You made us wait until the last minute to approve the extension. There were buyers that were on their edge for weeks over this. The buyers that were giving you praise for the program’s ability to make a difference in their lives were now suffering because the logistics made it difficult; if not impossible, to close by the June 30th deadline.
What were you thinking?
It seems like politics got in the way of the extension. Once the issue was identified, Congress should have acted quickly to resolve it. It shouldn’t have been tied to political agendas and it shouldn’t have been held to the last minute to pass.
Stop playing politics with our lives.
I understand that there were a lot of issues involved with attaching the extension to other bills, but don’t you realize that people were scared that they were losing this opportunity. They delay caused havoc for the same people that were intended to be helped by this program. Hey, in the future, if you create a great program, let’s think through the possible challenges along the way and react a little more quickly and compassionately. I know that it might be a lot to ask for…but come on…Isn’t good customer service what your would expect from people that you hire?
