Fillmore Family Day Picnic – Humid but dry…mostly!

I am always grateful when we can take the time out of our busy schedules to enjoy ourselves with friends and family. Fillmore Family Day is my favorite opportunity of the year to do this.
Today, it looked as though we were going to be threatened by rain, but as fate would have it, most of the day went off wonderfully. There was a slight downpour in the afternoon where we continued with our pie eating contest and Texas Hold em tournament.
The event had all the ingredients of a perfect summer’s day. Great people are the magic ingredient though. Without all people who share in the festivities, the day would be less meaningful.
Thanks to all of you who attended the picnic and brightened my day.
Thanks to Barbara, Ann Mac Bride, Maryann Arbia and the picnic committee for doing an amazing job.
Special Thanks to Mom..for her support in making the day happen and for coming down to spend some time with us despite her demanding obligations with Nana Helen.
This was truly a Fillmore Family Day.

As always the Fillmore picnic is a demanding day, but definitely worth it. I am always so happy to see the fun everyone has, especially the kids. I am so proud to be a part of this Fillmore family tradition. Thanks to everyone who came out despite the dreary weather. Rain can not dampen the spirits of the many people who were there to enjoy the day. The pictures show what a great time was had by all. Thanks John and Pat for once again making this day possible.
