Why Should I Go To New Orleans NAR Conference?

I was speaking with some broker friends of mine yesterday and we were discussing my trip to the National Association of Realtors Conference in New Orleans, when I was shocked to hear that they knew nothing about the conference and that they never attended a single one…ever.

I proceeded to tell my friends that it’s a great opportunity to learn what’s going on in our industry and it provides you with an opportunity to make a difference. How can you make a difference they ask?
It is at this moment that I realize that there is an amazing opportunity to raise the bar in our industry. I could talk for days about the benefits that I have received over the years through attending conferences, networking and establishing amazing friendships around the country. I will go over many benefits and actual examples of things that I have done over the past 30 years of attending various conferences in this blog. I will share some of the things that worked out well for me, and I’ll share some things that I got way too excited about after conference and were just not ever going to work in Brooklyn. Some conferences are better than others, but there has never been one that has not been worth the trip.
I will discuss in this TRB series, a lot of various topics that will hopefully get you thinking about getting more involved in the conversation that is going on in our industry. You’ll discover, if you haven’t already, that we all need to be stimulated in our business. The ideas discussed and technology learned has changed my business and life forever. I hope you can benefit from this discussion.

If you plan on attending a conference, I found a great post by Matthew Ferrara on maximizing your convention experience.  Click Here to read it now.
