The purpose of this blog is to provide a slightly different point of view with regards to running a successful real estate business brokerage company. I would like to place my subscribers in my shoes as I walk through challenges and obstacles. Some days, we’ll overcome successfully, and other days we might have to regroup. The messages and lessons that I learn will hopefully help you along your journey in the real estate business.
The Reinhardt Blog:
Audience:
The main audiences for this blog would be:
- Owners/Brokers: real estate brokers, CEO’s and president’s that are responsible for operating, strategizing and motivating a real estate brokerage business.
- Office Managers: real estate managers that are responsible for one or more offices in a real estate brokerage business
- Visionary Agents: Agents that might want to see how the broker sees it and learn to take advantage of the programs that are available today. This would create a group of early adapters.
- Industry Experts: Industry experts and speakers that might want to see examples of how ideas are developed, deployed, measured and changed until they work properly towards achieving the company’s goals.
Approach:
Write blog posts that are real and almost unedited in style. You’ll be hearing it from the streets of Brooklyn, NY. The challenges that I face, may not be the same ones everyone faces, but we can all draw information from these experiences. The Brooklyn experiences might be a bit more colorful at times, but you’ll enjoy the truth and the ability to see the way things actually go down. Fuhgeddaboutit!
Reflection: How Would Dad Do This?: (PAST)
One of the most interesting segments of the blog will where we can reflect on how things were done just a few years back, and then some. We will compare and exploit the similarities and the differences in today’s strategies. I think that most will find it amusing that we are fundamentally the same type of company; however, we are doing things differently and deploying different tools. I expect a lot of activity on this page.
The Professionalization of the Profession: Turning it UP a Notch! (PRESENT)
In order to stay on top and even gain market share, real estate brokerages must get more professional. The real estate company of today and the future will be more corporate and hopefully much more respected by the public. I believe that we need a lot fewer agents and companies doing things better before this can happen. We are on the way, but there is still a long way to go before we can call the real estate profession “Professional.” OK, some of you out there get it already, but the industry as a whole does not…but it will! Let’s talk about turning it up a notch in this section.
Industry Wave: Exploring Different Business Models & Industry Trends (FUTURE)
Although, many of the models that appear on the real estate horizon do not last forever, we can learn from exploring them and testing parts of these new strategies into our own business models. We can better track trends and fads by studying how the consumer behaves with these new models. I always like to know what’s happening out there. We can either learn how to make our business better, or come up with a strategy to help our agents overcome the competitors model when attempting to gain new business.
Comments and Suggestions Welcome:
I welcome and encourage comments, suggestions and feedback at all times. You see, we’re not in this alone and together we can unite and change the real estate brokerage business forever. We can share, collaborate and help each other grow our businesses in this most opportunistic time.
So, what are you going to do today?
Let’s get started and create a community for real estate brokers, by real estate brokers that benefits the entire industry.
Thank you for your time. I’m excited about this new effort, and I hope you’ll join me for what I promise to be an exciting ride.
